Neighborhood Tavern and Restaurant“Best appetizers around! Potato skins, quesadillas, nachos with chili, onion rings to die for, and the buffalo tenders are perfection! Many more to choose from, and they are all delicious!! Love the atmosphere too! Our favorite local bar!” - Karen L. H. – Facebook Fan
“My sister and I stumbled upon this restaurant as we were looking for a place to eat lunch on the way back from Vermont. It is located in a nineteenth century house next to a lovely little lake...The waitress was very nice and the food was excellent. We each ordered a “small plate,” which was a perfect size -- no need to have a big dinner that night. The baked haddock was perfectly cooked and the squash tasted fresh and flavorful. The ghost story written on the menu enhanced the experience. It is just the kind of local place one hopes to find when exploring New England.” - Eleanor – Google.com Reviewer
“...the meal was very good and the food prepared well. The service here was good and very friendly. My attentive waitress brought out my food, one item at a time instead of all at once, which I greatly appreciated. The tableside views of Kimball Lake are a definite plus here!” - Ian W. – Yelp.com Elite Reviewer
There are some folks who like to celebrate what is called a “half-birthday,” the point in the year where their birthday is exactly six months away. Today we’ve decided to celebrate “Half-Halloween” with a deal that is a real treat with no tricks and even has a ghost story thrown in to set the mood.
$12.50 will get you $25 worth of food and drink at Blaser’s Fireside Tavern with today’s promotion. Located right on Hopkinton’s beautiful Kimball Lake, this popular eatery has been the scene of many family meals and romantic dinners since first opening their doors over twelve years ago.
With seafood and produce hand selected at the wholesale markets and meat from some of Boston’s premier suppliers and at the meat houses in Boston, Blaser’s ensures that their chefs are preparing meals using only the highest quality products. Prime rib of beef is served every day for lunch and dinner as well as fresh seafood, charbroiled burgers, steaks and an artful array of sandwiches.
The wide-ranging menu has something to please and satisfy everyone. You can load up on fantastic appetizers, enjoy pan seared flatbread loaded with your favorite toppings, or have a few tasty sliders as you also enjoy a few drinks and the view of Kimball Lake. And if you’re in the mood for a hearty meal, Blaser’s has soups and salads, seafood dishes, pasta dinners, beef, poultry, ribs, sandwiches and more! There are also reasonably priced menu items for the kids with options ranging from the classic chicken fingers and fries to a small order of steak tips. No one will “Boo” this menu...unless they’re a ghost.
And speaking of ghosts...
From time to time, the wait staff and other workers at Blaser’s have heard some odd noises and had things mysteriously turn on and off. Many folks believe that it’s the ghost of Mr. Frank Mills, a man whose life came to an untimely end in the building early in the last century. If you’re lucky, you may hear Frank laughing and enjoying some of his pranks. We think we know the real reason he hangs around – those tavern onion rings smell REALLY good!
