The formaldehyde-free keratin treatment will eliminate frizz and make your hair more shiny and manageable, something that can be difficult to attain in the humid summer months. The 45-minute process begins with a shampoo to ensure your hair is clean and receptive to the formaldehyde-free Mini-Keratin treatment. Once it’s applied, you’ll spend 15 minutes under the hair steamer, then Moira rinses out the treatment and styles your hair which suddenly feels smooth and manageable!
Moira Brouillard’s vision for Earthly Roots Hair Studio is to create a relaxing environment while, with every step, keeping in mind what her impact is on our planet. Most everything you see in the studio is recycled or reused. The products she carries are free of toxic synthetic fragrance chemicals. They are not tested on animals and most are vegan. She also uses non-ammonia hair color and herbal henna hair dye.
Moira's career began in Atlanta, GA at an Aveda Concept Salon. Her expertise in hairstyling landed her numerous print projects and famous clients. Moira (AKA Mary Mullavey) has been featured in leading magazines, such as Lucky Magazine and Teen Magazine.
Over time Moira became extremely sensitive to ammoniated hair color and products containing synthetic chemicals. She decided to make healthier choices for herself and for her clients. After educating herself on the dangers of fragrance chemicals, she began using color free of ammonia and products free of toxic fragrance chemicals. Moira realized truly healthy hair and skincare products are hard to find. You must read labels. Fragrance chemicals are in many products, 95% of chemicals in fragrances are synthetic compounds derived from petroleum. Your skin, your body's largest organ, absorbs these chemicals by direct application and by exposure to air containing fragrances. These synthetics may cause neurological, respiratory, hormone-disrupting, systemic and environmental effects.
