Sandy Beach has long been one of the premier RV campsites in the whole state. Situated among stately pines, overlooking a picturesque New England spring fed lake, it has also been one of the best-kept secrets in New Hampshire for RVs, Popups and Tents. Centrally located in Contoocook, New Hampshire the campground is just 15 minutes north of the state capitol, Concord, NH and just a little over 1 hour from the Boston, MA area.
For the kids, the playground on the beach provides the perfect place for children to have hours of fun while their parents relax close by in the New Hampshire summer sun. Children can also enjoy a second playground at the other end of the park.
There is also a horseshoe pit area with four pits located side by side, allowing for exciting tournament play and the professionally installed tennis court is fenced and gated and has a rubberized asphalt surface. Its a great way to hone your skills and get exercise all while soaking in the rays! There’s also bocce ball, pickle ball and shuffle board for you to enjoy!
Sandy Beach RV Resort borders Rolfe Pond, a New Hampshire spring fed lake in Contoocook, NH. With over 1000 feet of waterfront and 300 feet of sandy beach, your family will enjoy exceptional swimming in a crystal clear body of water that boasts a naturally smooth, gradually sloping sandy bottom.
If fishing sounds relaxing to you, bring your canoe, paddleboat, or small rowboat (electric motors welcome) and enjoy the water. Even if you don't catch that 5-pounder, you are still camping in about as beautiful setting as you are likely to find in New Hampshire or anywhere. Both large and small mouth bass, yellow perch, rock bass, blue gills and Sunfish abound in this well-balanced, 40-acre body of water. Hornpout and pickerel will occasionally be hooked as well.
