This website is owned and operated by Couptopia, Inc. (“Couptopia” or “us” or “we”). Your privacy is very important to us and we are committed to protecting your privacy while you interact with the content, products and services on this site (the “Website” or “Site”).
We collect two types of information from you: i) personally identifiable information that you voluntarily provide to us (e.g. through a voluntary registration process, sign-ups or emails); and ii) non-personally identifiable information that is derived through automated tracking mechanisms.1.1 Personally Identifiable Information
Personally identifiable information is information that identifies a specific individual, such as a name, email address, or telephone number. When you choose to use these additional features, we require you to provide your “Contact Information” in addition to other personal information that may be required to complete a transaction such as your billing and shipping addresses and credit card information. Occasionally, we may also request information such as your shopping preferences and demographics that will help us better serve you and our others users in the future. We do not collect personally identifiable information about you except when you specifically provide such information to us on a voluntary basis.
We protect the security of your sensitive information by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which establishes an encrypted link that ensures that all data remains private.1.2 Non-Personally Identifiable Information
Non-Personally identifiable information is information that does not identify a specific individual. Like many other websites, our Site may use "cookies" and other tracking technologies to enable us to collection information relevant to how our Site is being used and to simplify and streamline the interactions you have on our Site. Collected information may include, but not be limited to, your internet service provider, date and time of visits to our Site, time spent on our Site, and the sites visited immediately before or after our Site. Most browsers allow you to control cookies, including whether or not to accept them and how to remove them. If a user's system is idle for a defined time, the cookie will expire, forcing the user to sign in again to continue their session. This prevents unauthorized access to the user's information while they are away from their computer.
You may set most browsers to notify you if you receive a cookie, or you may choose to block cookies with your browser, but please note that if you choose to erase or block your cookies, you will need to re-enter your original user ID and password to gain access to certain parts of the Site.1.3 Referrals
You may choose to use our referral service to invite other people to join Couptopia or our gift buying service to purchase a deal for someone else. We store the names and email addresses that you provide so that the respondents can receive a one-time email inviting them to our Website or informing them of the gift that you purchased for them. Couptopia does not sell these email addresses or use them to send any other communication besides this one-time email. Recipients of invitations or gifts may contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to request removal of their information from our database.2. The Way We Use Information
We only use your personal information for the original purposes it was given. Your personal information will not be sold or otherwise transferred to unaffiliated third parties without your approval at the time of collection.
