$10 will get you $20 worth of delicious Italian cuisine at Florence’s Restaurant in Merrimack. The daughter of restaurateurs, Florence Foti-Smokler’s nearly 40 years of experience in the business continues to help ensure that her loyal customers keep coming back for her great food and company.

Florence’s father, Joseph Foti, came to America from Sicily in 1955 and married Florence Romano, an immigrant from Naples, three years later. Both Joseph and Florence worked in many factories; Florence also cleaned restaurants and dish washed. Once she learned the English language, she bussed tables and became a waitress. After about 20 years in the business she thought she would like to give it a try and she and her husband opened the original Florence’s Restaurant in Boston in 1974. Shortly after the restaurant opened, they fell short of help and asked if 12 year-old Florence could work. After one night, she really liked it and never stopped. Many years later – and luckily for us in New Hampshire – Florence opened her own restaurant here in Merrimack and continued the family tradition of excellence.

The menu at Florence’s is extensive and has all of your Italian favorites like crispy garlic bread, stuffed tortellini, and eggplant parmesan. She also has hearty steaks and savory pork chops, all sautéed or grilled to perfection. As part of their commitment to quality, appetizers and entrées at Florence’s aren’t dunked in fryolators. Everything is always sautéed or pan fried fresh, just for you. Enjoy a nice glass of wine and some Italian Antipasto while your food is carefully cooked to order.
