After teaching at Memorial High School in Manchester, Ron Pappas decided to open a restaurant called Pappy's Pizza. It was 1982 and the city had never tasted anything quite like the taste of Pappy's. Known as the most generous man in Manchester, Ron Pappas sponsored over 22 teams in youth sports and, in a wheelchair himself, dedicated money and time to several organizations that aid the disabled. As stated in The Union Leader “Ron Pappas stood for something we all should, kindness, strength and a spirit to do better to help others.” Although Ron died in July of 2007, he left a legacy behind. Pappy's Pizza is now owned and operated by his beloved sister Kassha and brother Scott. They have maintained the Pappy’s tradition of incredible food, affordable prices, and supporting the community.
